It's fall

forest_lady posted a note at one point musing on the arrival of fall in her neck of the woods. At that point I was thinking "Hmm. Not here yet." But today...I smelled it. The trees. it is starting to get chillier here, bu tnot greatly so..mostly in the morning. Nothing tha tI would really call "FALL!".

That smell was last week around Tuesday around here.

It's always fun when the non-natives give you the WTF?! look when you say things like "It smells like Fall" or "I feel a storm coming in."

(Not quite as WTF!? as when we had some Israeli customers in at my previous job and a Tornado was on the way. The sky turned That Color and the temperature dropped and the air got Really Still. I told them a tornado had likely touched down within 30 miles or so and that they should be prepared to go to the basement of the building. The next day we heard the Tornado touched down about 15 miles SW.)

Yep, I know just what you mean. Amazing, isn't it? We went to Kalkaska this weekend and it was *Really* fall like there with the colors already started.
