Yes, but a lot of what the person is complaining about is 25 to 40 years old. Why isn't the person complaining about new crocheting patterns? The crocheted poncho and matching hat is from the 1960's FGS! I know because my mother has that pattern and made it for me for Christmas one year. I was still in high school so it had to be from somewhere between 1965 to 1969. And the outfit that she complains about that has multiple colors is from the 1980s, along with the doily collar pattern. Although that one was pretty ridiculous even then.

I guess you'd probably have to ask the owner of the blog those questions. Some of those patterns *are* things that are being created today. Just because the pattern is dated older doesn't mean people are avoiding them.
