It's too darn hot

Jul 02, 2006 17:02

It was 24degC at 9am this morning and the Beeb forecast the maximum temperature for today as 32degC.

Thankfully a breeze has picked up but it is still TOO DARN HOT!

Isobels were not made for temperatures above 25.

Yep, and we're not use to it *she wilts* Every radio & tv weather forecast is being accompanied by a heatwave warning and the NHS Direct phone number.

WTF?

I hear you. Anything more than 20 degrees and I'm annoyed. Smile, though: you're not in Australia. 40 degrees isn't particularly rare in summer, d00d. :(

I SO agree with you there. I made the mistake of going out *sighs* According to the Southampton Weather centre it was 28 degrees Celsius (82 degrees Fahrenheit) at 12.50 but it felt much hotter than that while I was out.

*Sends cooling breeze*

Coventry today was around 30 and now at 10pm it's 28... I'm not built for this :(

My heartfelt sympathies go to you Issy and anyone else who's pregnant, who needs this when your body temp is already elevated?!

Hee... at this time of year, 32degC is actually pretty mild. Warm, but mild. Good picnic weather. Especially if you've got a shady spot...

Then again, ,everyplace has air conditioning, so if you go into any building, you'll get temperatures no higher than 25...

Sorry you're having heat troubles, though... Personally, I don't know how you handle all the nasty coldness that winter brings!
