I thought about getting one solely for the recording aspect. We just moved and I have no tivo now and it's making me crazy... I tried to research it after you posted about it, but I'm still not 100% of all of it's functions... so what exactly all does it do?

Basically, it's a tv tuner so you either plug in your cable or antenna. It gets the cable on your computer screen. Then from there, you can either instant record or set record times for your shows. It has a channel and program lists included in it (From Titan TV) and can do digital or analog tv. The recorded sequences go onto your drive for you to watch them. They can be either pushed to your iPod, CDs, Apple Tv, etc. It's replacing both your tv and tivo.

I also bought this product this week, and I've been so addicted to it! I'm using an antenna and getting digital over-the-air channels. I get 14 channels out of 6 different stations (some of the stations have more than one channel--like they have a weather channel or an HD channel or something--I get 7 PBS channels and all the other stations give me two channels, one doesn't work though...). I also wish the color were crisper, but some channels look better than others ( ... )
