Ianto arrived for work early and decided that if he could get all his reports written for his meetings at the end of the week, he’d leave early, go home and change then go to the rink.  He began thinking about Jack again and what they’d done the previous night.  He grinned at the intensity of the feelings he’d had and he suddenly felt his blood supply heading south.  He reached a hand down and palmed his now prominent bulge, when Tosh walked in.  He quickly pulled his chair further under his desk but he also felt himself blushing.

“Morning Ianto, you’re at work early!”  She noticed the colour in his face, “Ianto….you ok?  You look rather flushed.”

“What….oh….erm, yeah I’m fine.  I er….doesn’t matter.”  He didn’t want to tell anyone about Jack, not just yet, not until he knew what was really happening between them.  He took a deep breath, realised his reaction had calmed down and focused on what Tosh had said.  “I came in early as I wanted to get these reports done for the meetings on Friday.  I’ve got an appointment this afternoon, so need to get off early.”  Why am I making excuses again?  I’m not ashamed of what I did, I just….what?  what do I want?

“Oh ok, right.  Anything you want me to help you with?”

“You could make sure all the schools have their allocated tickets and check with the ones who weren’t sure if they’ve decided one way or another now.  I really need to get the figures ready for Martha by close of business today.”

“No worries, I’ve just got a couple of the secondary schools to ring then you’ll have the data by lunchtime.  Will that be early enough?”

“That’ll be great Tosh, I’m not leaving till 3pm.”  He smiled and seemed to be thinking about something.

“Are you sure you’re ok?  I’ve not, in all the years I’ve known you, ever seen you looking so happy and leave work early.  If you’ve had appointments for Doctor’s or anything, you’ve always come back and worked late to catch up.  You were never this happy when you were with Lisa.  I’m sorry to bring her up, but….but it makes a girl wonder who’s putting that smile on your face.”

Ianto blushed “Tosh you know me too well.  Let’s just say it’s early days yet, but I promise you’ll be the first to know Miss Sato.  But can I ask you a favour?”

“Sure Ianto….anything.”

“Would you mind not saying anything to anyone?  I don’t want to jeopardise what might be.”

“You have my word.  And Ianto….”

“Yeah?”

“Whoever she is, she sure is good for you.  I’m so pleased for you.  You deserve to have some love in your life.”

Ianto blushed again, “like I said, it’s early days.”

Tosh went up to him, wound her arms around his neck and kissed his cheek.  “Your secrets safe with me.  Right I’d better get those figures for you.”  She disappeared through the door, Ianto watching her, smiling at the thought of his best friend being happy for him.

His phone rang, “Ianto Jones, Director….”

“Ianto!”

“Rhi, what now?”  He really couldn’t be doing with her today.

“I’m sorry to….”

“No Rhi, before you ask I can’t pick you or the kids up today I’m busy.”  He was short with her but he wasn’t her taxi service.

“Ianto….hey little brother, hang on.  I wasn’t going to ask anything like that.”

“Oh….er….right, it’s just that I’m really busy today and I’ve got an important meeting this afternoon.”

“No, all I wanted to know was, if you’re still coming skating tomorrow night and whether you want to come back for dinner afterwards.”

“Oh….sorry.  Yeah I’m still coming skating and not sure about dinner just yet.  I may have something else on.  Can I let you know in the morning?  I promise I’ll ring you first thing.”

“Yeah sure.  I’ll tell Mica you’ll be at skating, she’ll be thrilled.  Oh and Ianto….”

“Yeah?”

“Karen’s mam’s going to be there too.”  She laughed.

“Rhi, stop matchmaking.  When I’m ready I’m sure I’ll find someone for myself.”

“I’ll believe that when I see it.  Besides how are you going to meet someone when you never go out.”

“Rhi I’m fine, now can we drop the conversation about my love life and let me get on with my work.”

“Sure, I’m sorry but you have to admit you’ve not got a love life!”

“Rhi!”

“Ok, ok.  We’ll see you tomorrow at the rink, and don’t forget to ring me in the morning to….”

“Yeah, ok, now I really do have to go.”

“Sorry, bye Ianto, see you soon.”

“Yeah Rhi, bye.”  He replaced the receiver and stared into space thinking about Jack and feeling like a schoolboy with a crush.  He looked at his watch, 10.30am, calculating he had four and a half hours before he left, he set to work on his reports.

True to her word Tosh brought the figures for him at lunchtime and tried to question him again as to who was putting a smile on his face, but he wasn’t telling her anything.  He worked through his lunch hour, grabbing a sandwich from the shop across the road.  He didn’t want to be late meeting Jack and he wanted to change first too.

There was a knock at his door “come in”

“Mr Jones”  It was Martha Jones, Head of the Council she hadn’t been at the Council very long, she’d moved from London two months previous, “have you got those figures for me yet?”

“Yep, was just bringing them to you, I’ve….erm….got a Doctor’s appointment in half an hour, so was dropping them off to you before I left.  I hope that was ok?”

“Yes, but seeing as though I’m here, I’ll save you the trouble and take them with me.  Nothing serious I hope?”  she noticed Ianto looking curious “the Doctor’s?”

“Oh, no just my yearly check-up.”

“That’s ok, let me know how it goes.  I’ll take the reports if you’ve got them finished.”

He handed over the papers.  He made a mental note to book an appointment at the Doctor’s for real then he’d be able to tell Miss Jones the results.  He hoped that she couldn’t tell he was stretching the truth, he hated doing it but he did work through his lunch hour.  .

“Thank you Ianto, now you’d better go we don’t want you being late.”

“Ok, thanks, I did work through my lunch to make up the time.”

“That’s fine.”  She took the papers from him.

“Great, I’ll see you tomorrow.”  He left before he gave himself away.

Arriving back home he ran up the stairs unbuttoning his waistcoat as he went.  He stood looking at his clothes in his wardrobe.  Christ Ianto, you’re only meeting Jack for a skating lesson, what’s so difficult about deciding what to wear?

He pulled his black jeans out and decided on a Welsh rugby shirt, then put it away and pulled out one of his Blue Gillespie t-shirts and a hooded sweatshirt jacket.  Yep these’ll do.  He changed quickly, picked up his door keys and made his way to the rink.

Jack had completed his lessons for the morning and had found himself thinking more and more about Ianto.  He was pleased when his lessons came to an end as the more he thought about the young man, the more his blood supply headed south.  He was saying goodbye to his last pupil when a thought crossed his mind.  How would Ianto be in his company when his sister and niece were there?  He didn’t want to put the young man in an awkward situation.  He made a mental note to speak to him about it that afternoon.  He looked at his watch, 10.30am, five and a half hours before he saw him again.

He smiled at the images of the previous night, Ianto naked on his bed, a smile on his face, totally undone by Jack’s hands on his body.  Jack had to sit down, he could feel his trousers getting tighter.  He took a deep breath, palmed a hand over the arousal and looked around hoping no one had seen him.  Thankfully the rink was empty, he sat calmly for a few minutes before daring to move.  He had to keep himself occupied and try not to think too much of what might happen that night.  He had the music to cut for the competition so he decided that’s what he would do until it was time to meet his Ianto.

Jack worked for a couple of hours on the music.  Each piece could only be a minute and a half long, if they went over then points were deducted from the skaters’ final score.  His concentration kept wandering and at two o’clock he’d had enough.  He needed to eat, to rest, to change.  Come on Harkness this is only a skating lesson, you don’t need to change.  He needed to do something to take his mind off what he wanted to do to the young man.

Jack finally left the rink at 2.30pm, arriving home he bounded up the stairs dropping his great coat onto his bed.   What had Ianto said about the coat?  He looked good in it.  He smiled again, he’d not felt like this before, not even when he’d been with John.  Opening his wardrobe he pulled out his black jeans and a white shirt.  He left his t-shirt off.  Less clothes for Ianto to remove.  STOP! You’re thinking too far ahead, what if he didn’t want him, what if last night had been too much too soon.  Jack shook his head.  Now who’s doing too much thinking?  Wait until you see him later before deciding what you’d like to do with him.  He looked at his watch, he just had time to grab a coffee then get to the rink and wait for Ianto.

Ianto arrived at the rink, he’d walked to try to calm his nerves down.  Why are you nervous?  It’s only another skating lesson.  What else is going to happen?  He remembered how he’d felt having Jack’s hands on him, how it had felt doing the same to Jack.  Yes he wanted more, what had he said last night?  That he wanted Jack to stay, wanted him to make love to him.  He blushed at the thought of spending a whole night with Jack.  He was still smiling when he walked into the rink.

Jack had arrived at the rink with 30 minutes to spare so had decided to warm up.  He'd done a couple of circuits of the rink when he saw a smiling Ianto walk through the door.  He skated over to him, “hi you decided to come back for another lesson then?”

“Hi Jack, erm….yeah.”

“Was that all you came back for?”  Steady Jack, don’t scare him away, not now he’s here with you.

Ianto leant over the barrier and pulled Jack towards him.  “No Jack, that’s not all I came for.  I came for this.” And he kissed him, lightly at first then when he felt Jack’s hands go around his shoulders the kiss deepened, Jack’s tongue asking for entry into Ianto’s mouth.  Ianto obliged, opening his lips he felt Jack mapping every contour of his mouth.  Ianto carded a hand in Jack’s hair pulling him closer, tasting coffee on Jack’s tongue.  Breaking apart they stared into each others eyes.

“Wow Mr Jones, that was a gorgeous hello.”

“Mmm, I thought so too.”

“Have you had a good day?”

“Yeah, been busy writing reports, but couldn’t stop thinking about you.  Was that wrong of me Jack?”

“No….no it wasn’t.  I have to admit I couldn’t concentrate on cutting the music for the competition because I was thinking about you.”

“What are we going to do Jack?”

“Well for starters we’re going to skate, you still have to show Mica what you can do tomorrow, then….then we’ll see what comes up in the conversation.”  He grinned “but from the look on your face I do believe something’s up already.”

Ianto blushed, he’d hoped Jack hadn’t noticed.  Jack stepped off the ice and pulled Ianto into his arms.  “Stop fretting, I’m feeling exactly the same.”  He reached a hand between them and stroked Ianto causing the young man to moan.  “Once we’ve got through your lesson I’m going to sort that out for you.  And you my gorgeous Yan can sort this out for me.”  He lightly grabbed Ianto’s hand and placed it at the front of his trousers that were getting tighter by the second.  He moaned as Ianto stroked him tenderly.  “God, that feels so good.”  Jack looked at Ianto and smiled, “right, let’s get this skating over with then we can have lessons in other pass times - if you want?”

“Oh I want Jack, more than you know.”

“Come on then, let’s get you sorted with some skates.”  Jack watched as Ianto fastened the skates “just make sure you don’t do them too tight otherwise you’ll cut off your circulation.”

“And we wouldn’t want that, I’d not be able to walk and you’d have to carry me.”  He laughed.

“Oh that wouldn’t be a problem Yan, what would be is where I’d carry you to!”  Jack leant down and kissed Ianto tenderly.

“Ok enough of trying to get out of your lesson, putting delicious images like that in my mind, it’s time for your next skating lesson.”  He held a hand out, which Ianto took, and he pulled him into his arms.  Ianto smiled as he felt Jack’s arms around him.

“Feels nice Jack.”  And he kissed him.

“Ok, do you remember how I told you to get on the ice?”

“Yeah, think so.  Promise me you won’t move too far in case I fall.”

“I’m right here.  I’m not going anywhere, not now, not later, unless it’s somewhere with you.”  Jack squeezed Ianto’s hand as they made their way to the ice.  “Take your time, one foot at a time and hold on to the barrier.”

“Ok, think I’ve got that.”  Ianto stepped down onto the ice.  He felt his left skate move away from him and grabbed hold of the barrier.  Jack was immediately at his side.

“Don’t panic I’ve got you.”  He put an arm around Ianto’s waist.  “Now, carefully put the other foot onto the ice.  I’ve got you.  I’m not going to let anything happen to that cute arse of yours.”  He leant in and kissed Ianto’s neck.

Ianto managed to get his balance on the ice and Jack moved away from him.  “Jack, Jack where are you going?”

“Nowhere, remember yesterday, how I skated backwards….well that’s what we’re going to do now.  So….give me your hands.”  He waited until Ianto was facing him holding on tightly.  “Erm Yan, could you not hold on so tight.  I want to be able to feel your body under my hands later tonight.”

Ianto looked into the blue grey eyes and smiled, “you mean you still want to….”

“Ianto, my gorgeous man, I told you a few minutes ago the only place I’m going later is with you.  And what we do is going to be up to you.  Last night you asked me to stay with you remember?”  Ianto nodded.  “Well if I hadn’t have had my lessons this morning, there would have been nothing more I would have liked to do than to spend the night with you.”  Whilst they’d been talking Jack had begun skating backwards and as he saw Ianto become more confident he’d let go of his hands.  He continued to skate backwards making the young man feel safe.

“You’re not just saying that are you?”

“No Yan, I’m not.  I want to spend more time with you, I want to show you how to give me pleasure.  I want….want to make love to you.  But only when you’re ready.  I like you Ianto Jones, hell I didn’t realise how much until I was teaching this morning.  I couldn’t stop thinking about you.  And believe me that has never happened to me before.  I….I missed you.”

“Oh Jack, I don’t know what’s happening to me, but….after you left mine last night, oh God….this is going to sound pathetic….”

“Just tell me Yan.”

Ianto took a deep breath, “ok, after you’d gone, I went back to lie on my bed, and….and it felt so empty without you, after….after what we’d just done.”

Jack stopped skating and caught Ianto around the waist to stop him.  “Yan, what you felt, are feeling is natural.  I know what you said about not having a relationship with any other man, but what you felt last night with me, was it anything like what you felt with….with….”

“Lisa?”

“Yeah, Lisa.  You can tell me the truth.  If it wasn’t and you preferred….”

“Jack, stop!  I don’t want to talk about her.  No it wasn’t like that, it was more intense.  I….felt good, it felt good the way you touched me.  I wanted….no I want more.  I want you Captain Jack Harkness.  I want you to show me how to….”

“How to make love to me?”

Ianto blushed, “yeah, I’m sorry”

“There you go again.  There is nothing more I want to do.  Now come here and kiss me.”

“What if….what if someone comes in?”

“I don’t care who sees me, but I understand what you’re….”  Jack couldn’t say anything, Ianto was kissing him passionately, his tongue gliding over Jack’s lips asking for entry.  Jack wrapped his arms around Ianto’s waist and pulled him closer.  The kiss deepened and their breathing got faster, twin arousals straining against each other.  They broke apart, the need to breathe overtook them.

“Wow Jack, I….we seem to have a slight problem.”

“Mmm oh yeah, and I know how we can sort them out.”  Jack stroked a hand over the front of Ianto’s trousers causing him to moan.  Instinctively Ianto’s hand found its way to the now prominent bulge at the front of Jack’s trousers.  “Mmm so good Yan, but we can’t sort it here, let’s finish your lesson first then we can go.”  Jack took hold of Ianto’s hands again and started skating.  Letting go he placed himself at Ianto’s side as they continued around the ice.

“Jack, hey Jack I’m….”

“Yeah I know and my gorgeous Yan you were doing this earlier, I just didn’t draw your attention to it because I didn’t want you to think too much, and fall and damage that gorgeous arse of yours.”  He saw Ianto blush, “you really should stop blushing.”

“Why Jack?”

“Because of the effect it has on me, it makes me want to take you right here, right now, but I’m not going to.”  Ianto looked confused, “oh I’m going to make love to you very soon, but not here on the ice, it’s way too cold.”  They both laughed.

“Let’s go to mine Jack, please?  I want you to teach me, and I don’t just mean this skating lark.”

“It would be our pleasure and besides I think you could show Mica what you’re capable of tomorrow night, you’re a quick learner.”

“I hope I’m going to be quick at learning other things too.”

“Mmm if last night was anything to go by, believe me you’re quick.”

“Come on then Jack, let’s leave the ice for others to enjoy.  Would you….would you come back to mine….please?”

“Yeah.  And Ianto, if you want….and only if you want, I’ll stay with you tonight….all night.”

“There’s nothing I want more.”

They headed off the ice and as Jack put Ianto’s skates back behind the hire desk Ianto reached for his hand.  Jack looked down as Ianto entwined his fingers in Jack’s.

“Don’t say anything Jack, this is what I want.  You are what I want.”

They left, walking back to Ianto’s, neither caring who saw them.
