Notes: Written for tw100 challenge 300. This follows the drabble Purple Swan and can either take place before or after Tales From the Hospital Bed. This is a double drabble but it fills two prompts: Swan/Firmament and Curtain/Deception
Swan Rocket
Rhiannon tried to pull the crude drawing from David 's hands before he could show it to Mica, but she was too late.
"Uncle Ianto's funny." David giggled at the picture he had drawn; a stick figure with a very large penis and wings instead of testicles and wearing a long flowing coat.
Rhiannon pressed her lips together, watching her brother sleep and clutching a long RAF coat. He looked so pale and fragile hooked numerous IV lines.
"Hi," Ianto said giddily as he waved at his sister.
"Hey. How are you feeling?"
"Never better."
"They've been giving you painkillers?" Rhiannon asked and shook her head, remembering the few times Ianto had them before and it was very interesting.
"Just a little. You like my drawing?" He grabbed the picture from his nephew.
"It's interesting," she said as diplomatically as possible.
Ianto grinned wildly. "That's the Captain and his swan rocket. I'll get to ride it out of this world when I'm healed."
"I'm sure you will," Rhiannon placated her brother, not understanding what he was trying to say. "Who's the Captain?"
Ianto licked his lips hungrily. "He's the coat. You think he's a curtain but he's really a coat."
