Yes, there is much conflict within the Talamasca at the moment. In fact, I've been put on paid leave along with Lexia and a handful of others. Contact with vampires is strictly forbidden and I'm risking my job by just being here.

But Nicki has been released from house arrest.  So he's not at Lestat's house anymore.  Where he currently is I have no idea.  He went home to Paris last I heard but that was a week or 2 ago.
