LiveJournal is a sad sad place...

Feb 03, 2004 02:50

We come here, post our lives and expect people to actually care.

Most of the time, I'd say that we don't.

And what does this gain us?

You want to care? Take someone out for coffee, buy them a beer, go out on a walk.

I'm out of this joint... Later fools...

Wednesdays would probably work quite well... We'll discuss it all on AIM and the like...

Actually, I'm not going to negate you because I fully believe everything you've said, and would have said it to someone myself.

I do believe that there are people who need this in their points in their life, or appropriately use this, but the majority of the time, it becomes an addiction and an overdone item. This is when it becomes problematic, and when it becomes a problem.

So no yelling, but nicely said and appros counter-point... ::tips cap::

Sorry you feel that way. Maybe you just need to use LJ less than you do now, but not trash it entirely. That's kinda going from one extreme to the other. On a totally separate, unrelated, and inappropriate note, I'm so digging that icon!

BTW, I'm still twitching from that phone message. I'll call you when I get out of work :-P.

Bwahahaha... I was just callin' to say hi, no worries on callin' back, bro... I'll catch up with you later... Actually, you and me... We'll sit back and just chill a bit later on this week, give me a date, and we'll set it... And who knows, maybe I'll agree to go to karaoke with y'all, under the condition that you're buying the beers... :-D

Like I said, I'll go to karaoke if everyone else buys me alcohol... I figure it's a good trade off...

And as to Friday? Hmmm... ::scratches chin:: Where are y'all heading clubbing to? I'll talk with her about it, I think she was going to head home this weekend, but she might like that idea because we haven't headed clubbing in a while...

too bad that people use livejournal to get people to care....I use it to journal my life and voice my opinion to myself and if anyone else wants to read it they can.. I dont give a flying fuck what other people think about what I write. You are right...real friends call occasionally and will get coffee with you...so good thing Im re-evaluating my friendships lately.

Yup, and well done at that. That's why I'm switching mostly to using my primary journaling cell: My brain and some paper.

And amen on the coffee, calling, or hanging out... I haven't done much as of the late, but we'll have to do that sometime soon... Sound like a deal? :-)

you are posting an awful lot for someone who gave up live journal. Also, yeah we send lots of links but instead of deeming electronic communication as irrelevent, try to find some meaning in it. I send people links because i think they are funny, not because i'm hiding behind anything.

Maybe the internet is just fun? If it wasn't 8 degrees outside, i'd be out there running around and enjoying the other things of life. But uh, seriously. I think people take the internet way too seriously. I do live journal and chat on AIM because i feel like it. If i didn't feel like it, i wouldn't do it. And i can live without it. I just don't care either way.

talk to you later, adam! good luck in your busy life.

Haven't posted in almost 2 weeks, so I don't know why you're saying that I'm posting a lot... I'm leaving small random comments here and there if I happen to check friends journals, but this thing is pretty much through with me... ::shrugs::

Yeah, the internet is different and it's not really a part of our lives. The catch is that I am very easily distracted by it and very easily caught up in this stuff, so that's why I have to say all or nothing, sometimes. Take now, when I'm supposed to be working on homework, yet I'm replying to you because my e-mail just chimed, because I don't really want to write about Walt Whitman and am not really in a mood to work on it now...

So that's more along the lines of where I'm coming from... I'm still around online, but just not in this form...
