Main House room 8, Monday around noon

Gregor dragged his feet as he made his way to room 8, his assigned room in the dormitory. He didn't want to be here. He wanted to be home with his mother and father and sister. He didn't want to have to come to school in America to learn a trade to support his family, but that was his job as the only son, and so he was here ( Read more... )

Cassie was just passing on her way down to the common room, when she saw the open door, and stopped out of curiosity.

She smiled hesitantly over her sketchpad, he didn't look all that happy. "Hi," Cassie greeted. "New, too, I guess?"

Cassie shrugged. "Haven't met any actual teachers yet," she said. "But, I've heard there's a couple about... somewhere. I assume once school gets into session properly there'll be more."

Poor Gregor, he had no idea that anything like a feminist revolution had ever taken place. He probably deserved anything that was coming to him.

Cassie narrowed her eyes at him. She'd had far worse directed at her courtesy of Leon, didn't stop her from being a little miffed at the implication. "God, no," she said. "Being coerced into washing up the once was enough for me."
