He hasn't mentioned that he stopped off to put an angry spirit out of its misery on the way back from his two-day mini-roadtrip. He doesn't mention it because he doesn't want Cas to ask him why they didn't go together. Dean knows the answer will upset the other man, so instead he's bringing back supplies for what's going to be more freedom for Cas ( Read more... )

It'd only taken a matter or minutes for Castiel to pack everything up. The promise of being able to go somewhere he doesn't need to keep himself covered up so much is a break he's more than ready for right about now. He'd only been outside for a few hours that day, and he can already feel the ache born from keeping his wings bound to his back. It'd been the only solution he could think of while stuck in the motel room.

It hadn't helped that he'd been stuck there alone either. With Dean disappearing off on some unknown task, Castiel had had no choice by to try and preoccupy himself. It'd only gotten harder as the hours went by. So when he first hears the sounds of Dean making his entrance, he's off the bed and practically at the door.

"What song?" The question is all but muffled by Dean's neck as Castiel wraps himself around the man, arms clinging tightly at his waist. He's a little more open about just how much he's missed Dean, and thankfully being in the room means he doesn't need to worry about keeping it hidden.

The sound of air squeezed from his lungs is testament enough to how tight Cas's arms are around him. He doesn't attempt to loosen them though, just wraps his own arms around the other man in return, even if it's a little harder now thanks to the wings on his back.

"I Don't Want To Miss A Thing." He only replies when he's managed to get a little more oxygen into his lungs, but it's enough to widen his smile. He's never quite managed to relate to the song until now.

"I don't think I know it." It's the same deal as before, though this time, he's nuzzling Dean's neck a little too. It's only now that he's back that Castiel realizes just how on edge he's been the past few days. He feel safe now. Comfortable. It's the only place he ever wants to be.

"Are we leaving right now or can we..." He pulls back a little then, going for actions instead of words. He presses his lips to Dean's, the kiss almost greedy on his side. He's missed Dean far too much.

This is the only part of being away from Cas that makes it worth it. The welcome he gets when he returns. It's why he doesn't answer straight away. His plans involve leaving as soon as possible, but he's not sure he can deny either of them what Cas has on his mind.

The lack of breath from earlier means that when he finally pulls back from the kiss he's breathless. It's yet another reason he doesn't say no, just leans back in for more of the same after a couple of much needed gasps of air.
