I successfully defended an innocent man on a theft charge.
We didn't even have to put on any of our own witnesses' testimony; the judge granted my motion for judgment of acquital after I cross-examined the city's only witness.

I'm quite proud of it, even though I remind myself that my client did all the hard work of actually being not guilty, I just managed to not screw that up. ;-)

Actually, now that I think about it some more, I might as well include that bit because that's what's significant about it. I successfully defend guilty people all the time, though almost always it's "successfully" in the sense that I obtained a reasonably satisfactory outcome in light of the circumstances. Sometimes negotiating down to 60 days in jail instead of 180 is as successful as it gets.
