My advice, monsieur? Take the flower and try not to get lost in ideals. Children are a lot of joy and heartache both, and maybe at this point, were you childed, you'd regret, say, missing your daughter grow up because you were so busy chasing 9431 or 24601, whichever you kept to calling him.

And you do have love, from what the flower girl is inferring.
