First, it is a subtitled film starring Jean-Claude Van Damme. Most aren't aware that he even speaks French. Personally, I thought he was only fluent in extravagant spin-kicks and arm-flips. How wrong I was.

Second, He is starring in a movie about himself. This career move is bold, especially since the film was not intended to be a mocumentary. It's the equivalent of raising the corpse of John Smith to play himself in the recent adaptation of the Pocahontas story. something like a strange mix of zombies meets weekend at Bernie's.

Lastly, it is boldly titled J.C.V.D. which I'm sure can easily be taken to mean Jesus Christ Venereal Disease.

I read about what happened with the Troupe. Sucks for them. Plus, you're mega creative and could easily start your own, much better troupe. I'm glad your coming anyway. I'll request it off of work too so we can actually spend some time exploring Chicago.
