The first time Sam woke up, he was awake for all of two seconds.
The second time, he muttered, Gerbil giraffe, giggled, and fainted.
The third time, he was lucid.
Dean totally didn’t get teary-eyed with relief.
Dude, he said as Sam shifted and eyed the burrow they were staying in. Stay still. You’ve got a hell of a concussion.
What happened? Sam murmured, wincing.
Hardhat clocked you. And you destroyed the warren’s enemy.
Huh?
Urban sprawl.
Sam blinked. I destroyed urban sprawl?
Pretty much.
Oh. Cool, Sam said, and drifted to sleep.
Dean totally didn’t snuggle with him.
