Dean frowned at the jiggling blob on his plate. He hated Jell-O. Hated its slick, slippery feel in his mouth, its fake, fruity taste on his tongue. He’d throw it away, if he wasn’t so exhausted.
Dying was hard work.
Dean remembered when he’d first tried Jell-O. Mom had fixed it as a special treat not long after Sammy was born. She’d been so tired, and Dean had pretended he liked it, just to see her smile.
Dean’s lips curved up at the memory, and he spooned some Jell-O into his mouth.
It was the best thing he’d ever tasted.
