“Oh, I just can’t wait to be king.”
Sam follows his son’s singing and finds J.D. planted in front of the TV, watching The Lion King. Again.
Sam’s so, so ready for J.D. to find a new obsession.
J.D. turns around and grins. “I love this song!”
“I know.”
J.D.’s expression grows thoughtful. “It’ll happen someday, right? I’m gonna be king, aren’t I?”
Sam smiles. Nods. “Someday. But you have a lot to learn first. Now come with me. It’s time to welcome our new arrivals.”
Grinning once again, amber eyes glinting, J.D. grabs his knife and follows Sam downstairs.
