Alone

Tim & Vaughan are gone this weekend to a Father-Son Retreat at a camp in central Ohio.  I have been looking forward to this probably as much as they have.  I love being on my own--at least for a while.  I like the quiet.  I like the feeling of no responsibilities except to myself.  I like having no time constraints.  I love not needing to cook.  I ( Read more... )

Wow, I didn't know you liked ever being alone. I guess you're on a little vacation yourself, aren't you? You've got some good migrants-- I've seen all at one time or another except the dark-eyed juncos. I'm surprised that your yellow and black & white warblers are migrants, tho'. They are migrants here in the spring and fall, too. I'm curious as to their destination for the summer--- Canada?

Were you able to stay up for the game? The Spurs went to Phoenix to play some basketball, that's for sure. I thought about checking in on iChat, but then I realized that there's no way you could do iChat and watch the game 'cos the TV's too far away for you to do both. Ha ha. I guess I'll watch game 4 over at Mom's on Sunday afternoon.

Be sure to post your other migrant bird sightings on Idyl Glen. It's fun to know what you're seeing.

I love my big SISTER!!!!!

Oh yeah, I forgot to say that the Mockin'birds are really going at it here... nests everywhere. And the grackles are courting left and right. I saw two males get into a fight over a female who didn't really seem to be paying attention to either one! After they finished fighting, they just stood there with their bills pointed straight up in the air.

I can't help it... I love grackles.
