Driving restricted

I had my first 2 driving lessons this week.  Patrick Baker, an OT at Cleveland Clinic, rode with me while I learned to use hand controls.  I had to concentrate on that left hand working the controls but I can do it.  Although I have 6 appointments scheduled, when I finished my second lesson at 2:30pm Friday, Patrick declared I was ready for my

Your entry was so exciting until i got to the last sentence. That Mom. She's such an optimist... not. Well, in this case, maybe she is just being practical.

If you get to the point that you'll need to use a WC all the time, would you even be able and want to drive yourself? If so, maybe she's right about the van... as long as there's a an easy way to get from the WC to the driver's seat. If not, stick with the original plan of the SUV.

And you DO need heated leather seats. I even wished I had those last week.

I can't believe a week has gone by and we still haven't made any kind of decision. Thanks for your input though; every little thing helps.
