We have kind of a blend over here of US, British, European and Australian big business.
eg, we have Target which is US, Woolworths which is British, Aldi which is European, and Australian....well, I can't think of an Australian one right now, but you get the picture.

On the topic of the universality of Target, there was an American comedian in Melbourne for the festival, she didn't have a show but she did festival club and I remembered her from last year. She was talking about how Target is here too, and how some guy had said to her, sometimes, as a jok, we call it "tar-jay" to sound posh, and she'd thought wow, we have that same lame joke!
She was amazed by the fact that we had completely different useless plastic shit in our Targets *G* She had to buy a new suitcase for all the stuff she'd bought *G*
