It's that time of year again, guys, so this is your friendly reassurance that nowhere near me is on fire. Admittedly, this year it's closer to home than the other year when it was a whole state away. I do have friends and family that are close to the fires. I grew up in Penrith, at the foot of the Blue Mountains which is where the big ones are

We're fine, here, right now, I just know that every fire season people who don't know where we live, or don't understand Australian geography panic a bit, so I thought I'd pre-emptively reassure everyone.
