to follow up on a post i made in september in which i promised myself to not A) fall in love in 2012 B) move in the dead of winter in 2012... and while i realize it is not yet 2013 i would like to report i have yes, failed

I think you and I would go toe for toe in the moving/displacement contest recently.

I keep getting comments like, "You're moving again!"

I am really hoping that this next move will last at least 2 years. I'm planning on 3-5.

This next bit may sound a bit morbid.

What I really think I want to do is apply for and travel to artist residencies. the problem is that I have a cat and most residencies don't allow pets. So my plan (for now) is to work my butt off to try to pay off my student loans until my cat dies, and then start doing the residency/travel thing. I lost her sister this past winter, so I am figuring she has another 2-5 years left in her (she's 17 and my oldest cat passed when she was 22). Now, don't get me wrong. I don't WANT her to die. I just realize that she will eventually.

So anyway, that's the plan (for now).

It may all change in 9 months. or 5. or whatever. Who cares?

What's wrong with moving anyway? If Chicago doesn't work for you, you can come stay with me in Minneapolis.
