If you're looking for some of us from Pern, you can find us at NorCon. norcon.genesismuds.com 4210. A group split off and formed up a new game last year when PM went down for over a month and most of the active play has shifted to NC.

Yay for full time job for Muzz! :) And you're scaring me with the teen-boy-talk ;)

I have logged in a few times in recent months. I got nostalgic and wanted to wheel out some old alts for RP. It's really dead, which is very sad. Also, Audrin is 71 at last check. That's so weird.

I visited Pern again a while ago just to see what was up and wow, just..deader than dead. When Kassima actually has left, you know it's a dead deal.

While PernMUSH itself may be dead, most of the playerbase moved to NorCon last August. NorCon picked up from the same timeline as PernMUSH and a large percentage of the active players transferred their PM chars over to NC. There are three areas open on NC with a nightly logon rate of about 30-35 /characters/ though there is a fair bit of alt overlap and a good pulse in all three areas now.

The DB however was not ported over and the entire game was built from scratch on TinyMUSH 3 with a new code base.

Wow. I haven't checked into PernMUSH in years. I'm sorry to hear the game is dead. I remember when it had over 100 active players online each night. My SimpleMU doesn't work with the new computer so I can't return anyway. Is there a client that will work with Vista out there? Just curious.
