As they were leaving today she suggested that another kid play drums for one of the songs because he's better at it off the bat that she is. "You've got time to get better," he said. "You're not going to get any better by not doing it." I think this may be another opportunity for Kate to be surprised at herself.

I was reminded of this trailer and wished that film got a screening in Cork. I'd take my daughter to it in a heartbeat.

We saw that with Kate and she was *begging* to go but they were full up by the time we looked at it (and probably will stay that way with all the good publicity the film got). Was definitely the inspiration for sending her to this local camp.

Great job! She has excellent rhythm. All the guitarists I know are just thrilled when someone can keep a beat and the fact that she can throw a fill in without skipping a beat is awesome. She also looks pretty relaxed!
