Man, these area kids are pissing me off. Apparently, I'm pissing them off, too, since the last carload of dumbshits I scared off yelled "asshole" and "bitch" out the window at me on their way out

Unlike this most recent group, I got a round of "Sorry ma'ams" from the ones who are decent kids who still respect their mothers while the kid who was the most messed up started fighting with his friend to put the trash back on the ground. The two sane and rational kids told him to stop being stupid and bundled him into the vehicle, saying "I told you we were being too loud!"

At least they still have that going for them :)

I imagine that motion-sensitive floodlights would probably help quite a bit.

Now that sounds like a great idea!

We have a narcotic cop as neighbor. He vows LIGHTS are the best deterrent! He has floodlights mounted across the front of his house.

There are those floodlights with motion sensors in them; you could attach one to the house and point it any direction you like...

We had one installed in our backyard. We have the number of a good, very reasonably priced electrician if you want it.

Also, I believe this is why 7-11(or some such) started pumping Barry Manilow music outdoors.

You might also drive them away if you have your own set of friends taking up their favorite spot a few nights in a row. I'd volunteer for part of Friday or Saturday night shift, and I'd bring my digital camera for license plates.

Also, it'll be rainy again before long. That could also drive them to cover elsewhere.

But the floodlights are a great idea.
