Christmas is Over

For us, Christmas is over already. Tomorrow there will be stockings even though Kate knows the whole secret to Santa this year and we'll go over to Ray and Christine's tomorrow afternoon for a while. Glad you like the Solo! My friend Aaron the coffee snob speaks in GLOWING terms about the quality of the coffee it makes. I may have to get one myself.

I've been a French press devotee for almost 15 years but the coffee can be a little silty. The Solo was really great, I could taste the difference right away. It's like the difference between drop coffee and a French press. It's like a French press, but cleaner.

Very enthused about the Solo. Now, if only I knew a friend who could hook me up with fresh roasted coffee (shoots look at foxbat).

Sarah Vowell could come to our house to talk about presidential assassinations anytime. I listened to Partly Cloudy Patriot as an audiobook; I wouldn't call her a good reader, exactly, but there's something about hearing her delivery of her own material that's just so entertaining. I loved it and the bonus is that I can hear her voice in my head while I'm reading Assassination Vacation now. :)
