So I, uh, finally caught up with Tsubasa and Holic. (WHAT WHAT WHAT THE FUCK) I then remembered I'd been working on a few fic when I left, and rereading this one I found it worked rather well as it was. Thus, quite late, here it is.

Ooh, that was lovely! I stay away from 90% of the Kuro/Fai written, because it's horrible, but I like the 10% of fic that's actually good, fits the characters and the way they interact, and this really pegged the both of them. I love the alcohol and the musings and the 'Perfect' world and Yuuko still paying a debt to them.

And yes, xxxHolic is very much stuck in the "WTF, Watanuki, I thought you grew out of this" phase. Hopefully the Spider Lady will knock some sense into his head, since Doumeki is apparently unsuccessful and Yuuko isn't there to do it.

hey, thanks! I know what you mean; I actually haven't read anything that hasn't been written by a friend or someone I know to be a good writer since... I first got into the fandom, I suppose. I'm glad this worked for you.

yeah the way I see it, Kurogane and Fai really got the short end of the stick. "Hey, let's grab two random guys and get them all mixed up in this mindfuckery! For kicks!"

and, um, someone needs to smack Watanuki upside the head. A lot. And then he needs a hug. But Doumeki needs a hug more, so he gets top priority. Himawari better hug the fuck out of him when he visits her, is what. but seriously, Watanuki what the actual fuck.

LOL I KNOW RIGHT SO MUCH WTF IN THAT SERIES. I don't even know anymore. Really. IDEK. I'm just along for the ride. I figure whatever they throw at me can't be nearly as bad as the first half.

PS-sad but good fanfic is sad and good. Also, I loled: ""They aren't drinking properly, then," Kurogane replies. "The glass is either full, empty, or being refilled.""
