I decided to be a rebel yesterday. I wore an orange shirt. I'm wearing green today.
And I saw a T-shirt last week (I think it was at Spencer's Gifts) that might apply to you. It was green (of course), and it said, "Kiss Me, I'm Irish(ish)."
My other new-ish coworker said she wasn't sure she had any green, and back in the day she did wear orange on St. Patrick's Day because she's Protestant; it was the Catholics that wore green.
...Whaaaaa? Well, I learned me something new the other day.
I think she ended up wearing blue yesterday, though.
I learned about the whole orange/green thing a few centuries ago, back when I was in college. One of my professors mentioned it in class. And of course, there's the song "The Orange And The Green." If you've never heard it, get thee to YouTube and do a search. (The first hits will probably be versions sung by The Irish Rovers; it was their version I first heard.)
