i went to see “panaghoy sa suba” the other day because i was interested in how cesar montano put together a film almost entirely in cebuano. a few minutes into the film, a man behind me was wondering when the characters would start talking in tagalog. “pwede bang gumawa ng pelikulang hindi tagalog?” he said. later, realizing that other than english

overheard from old lady sa likod ko:

"ang galing ni eric quizon mag-bakla-baklaan!" and she said it with so much conviction pa!

haha! true! i noticed that too. and in fairness, magaling nga si eric mag-bakla-baklaan. mas madali kasing mag in character if you can draw from experience. haha.

yup. same guys (and possibly same actors too). traffic is not much of an issue for me kasi i just take the train to get to gateway. pretty soon, the two lines will be connected through gateway-araneta-farmers. cool. gateway isn't in the category of mammoth malls but when they finally open all the shops, i'm sure it'll be good.
