Hey, I was blog-hopping and stumbled upon your blog. Interesting entries. You seem to be leading a happy, colorful life after leaving law practice (as I found out in one of you recent entries). After so many years of practicing law, I am yet teetering between leaving it and doing something else. As family would say, "sayang naman" or "sayang ka" (ngeee!). It doesn't help that all I know is I want a job that's anything but lawyering. The thought scares me. Your blog is showing me that there's a happy, colorful life outside of lawyering. I hope I will find mine, too. Keep it on!:-)

hello anonymous, and thank you for visiting. your comment confirms my worst fears: that my self-deprecating indulgencies are read by sapient beings. if you have the time to waste, you can go back into the last 4 years that this blog has been around and find that i have said many things about the legal profession, and my longing to do other things, mainly write, travel, take pictures, and probably more seriously, reflect on the human condition and do something about it. anything that drives me to create and to inspire life. what most (traditional) lawyers do these days is the complete opposite. which does not mean of course that i am currently not gainfully employed, or that i have not gained anything from my training as a lawyer. nothing could be further from reality. but slaving away my precious hours doing mercenary work for avaricious clients who look after their own selfish interests has long convinced me that i really must do something else. and the many interesting things that i talk about in this blog have little to do with my ( ... )
