We went to see what turned out to be the inaugural date of Tom McRae's Alphabet of Hurricanes tour last night, in the reasonably tiny upstairs room of the O2 Academy2, Newcastle. Good to hear he is on form - I have my ticket for next Thursday, hopefully the album will actually arrive before then so I can listen to the new stuff but I am happy there will be some older stuff in the set too.

Sounds like a great gig and thanks for the review - I'm so excited about hearing the new songs live.
Don't stress too much about Alphabet of Hurricanes not being on the album, AOH was conceived as an album in two parts, with only the first part out so far, so I'm hopeful it'll be on part II, although not sure when that'll be out. And it's great we've had 12 songs just on part 1!

Thanks for the feedback! Yes I wondered if the title song might make it to the next album, although that would be a characteristically quirky choice. Fingers crossed. I'm very happy with most of the current album.
