I think Raiders is like a lot of films that have been followed by string of mediocre sequels (Rocky, Jaws, even Die Hard). The strength of the original film gets overlooked as it merges into the rest of the series. Raiders really is a classic.
The Dark Knight has me unreasonably excited. I don't think the suit and the bike are that bad either, and I think in a world where a movie has to sell to an age range of 3-25(*) they are acceptable upgrades from what we've seen in the past. My son will want the action figure but will be too young for the film, and this way everyone can be happy. I like particuarly the fact the suit finally allows the wearer to move their head.
There are a lot of set pics leaking from the location filming in Chicago at the moment, and it's clear this production has a lot of interest. I can forgive the filmmakers for selling to that as early as possible, as that now seems to be the norm with productions on this scale...
