Downloaded Google's Chrome browser to see what it's like. Like most Google apps, it's clean and fast. One neat thing I like about it, is it's incognito mode, which allows you to open pages without saving any information you were ever there. Brilliant ( Read more... )

McCain literally picks a token woman to be his running mate out of all the possible expected running mates. This run-up couldn't be more theatrically ridiculous than it already is.

Odd that the VP choices would determine who's going to win or lose. I usually discount their importance, but this time they're going to make the biggest difference.

We get both Macleans and Time delivered to the home here. Macleans is just basically the Canadian emulation of Time, though recently it's been going downhill past Newsweek level of idiocy. Anyways I took a look at both covers just a moment ago and did a double take.

A general election here has all but officially been called for early next month. Just goes to show you'll never know when an election will be called here. The current PM passed a law for a fixed election date about a year from now, and has now decided to ask the Governor General for an election, which breaks his own law. I've found out a few things. It appears NBC does have live internet streaming, but only to people in the US. I also recently found out that Americans could've watched the opening ceremonies live if they were close to the Canadian-American border and pick up the CBC channel.
