Have any of you ever sat with a friend in a methadone clinic? It is not pleasant, let me tell you. I know. I know. That's a shocking revelation.
The clinic itself has a cheap, underfunded, understaffed feel to it.
It smells of poverty and dejection.

Every time I cross weapons with someone, it's a reminder for me that I'm alive and worth fighting for. I'm glad I have teachers who truly understand that.
Addiction is such a scary/powerful/armtwisting thing.
It's a good thing if you can remember your low points and take strength from the fact that you clawed yourself up from them.
