Z is back.  He's wearing Aurelius' body, and he's exhausted and mourning and there are plans to be made, but tonight he is simply going to be back, back with his people, his family, his loves.

Dom stops right inside the door to Z's rooms.

"That's... very disconcerting."

Is it you, really?

Dominic listened, and then slowly he nodded.

"It's what I was thinking as well. Now that we, in essence, have more control over what is going on. And to make sure all hell doesn't break loose."

"So even if they don't have us, they have us. Jesus Christ on a biscuit, this doesn't get any easier...

Could we...send someone to your cell using a PIN-something and get you back, and then dissapear into some world where no one could find us? I personally would be alright if the Shop was dismantled and everyone got fired. Oh, I might look gloomy for a couple seconds, remembering all our good times there, but I'd recover."

"Yeah, thanks for the vote of confidence."

"I didn't say fired, Savvy. All we have to do is live there. Rent-free housing, really."

"Not fired, you mean like...killed?" Savannah didn't think some of the techs or that one guard, Whatshername, were all that bad. "If they will kill more people, then I guess we have no choice..."

Savannah is, unfortunately, too young to appriciate rent-free housing the way the rest of us can.

"We'll still...have to live there...play their games..."

"No more games. Just live there. We can even leave for periods of time. Aurelius could give you an 'assigment' to go home and visit your mother."

"Really? Oh, that'd be great! If it's possible. I might go back for the chance of that. But..."

Won't Auri still have to answer to his higher-ups about...assignments for your people? We're still mutants, after all.

Z leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeans on him. "I don't want to run the place."

"You may not have a choice..."

"... I'd say come back to my room with me, but uh..."

Dom is staring at Auri, not Z.

Heh. I know. Stay out here with me and have something to drink?

"Now that I can do. Tequila?"

I think I'd like scotch today, actually.

"You w-- oh. What, he's affecting your head? Or are you being nice?"

He gets glasses and adds ice.
