Aahh, this hurt in all the right places :)

I just love it when a fic unfolds like this one, gradually letting us know bits and pieces - Myriam, a daughter, Northern-African; Rania, her mother; both recently re-united; Rania is a hunter - wow, I hadn't seen that coming! But of course, there have to be hunters all over the world.

Loved Dean thanking John for not sending them to boarding school - guess he hadn't been at Sonny's at that point.

Hunters can’t be real parents. And I am surely no exception. Dean hasn’t got that figured out yet, but he will. One day, he will. And with any luck, it’ll be after I’m dead.

Seeing as how I'm listening to mp3s of season 1 right now, those lines ring especially true. Man, the hero worship and the almost blindly following orders Dean still had going at that stage... Yes, it wasn't till after John was dead that Dean had moments of doubting John...

Thank so much! I'm glad you liked my approach to gradually revealing more info about the OC's. And yeah, there's bound to be some hunters everywhere. Wish we saw more international ones on the show!

To be fair to Dean, he did have a few moments where he doubted John and opposed his orders, right before John died, but I think it took much longer for the deeper understanding of John's flaws to sink in, and by then John was definitely long dead.
