[Today was Donatello's first day back at school following Raphael's kidnapping and return. He came home with a long list of missed assignments, as well as returned papers from before his absence. His first real grades! Sooner or later he might work up the nerve to ask someone what "A+" means

I always do enjoy seeing some of the more focused students at work. It makes our jobs as teachers worth while, I think, when students show a fondness or interest in what's being taught.

Ah but taking breaks every once in awhile is good too. Don't overwork yourself, it'd be terrible if you got sick!

[Kurt suddenly appears outside of Donatello's house and knocks. See? He can be polite.]

[Oh, that was fast. No, wait - should have expected it. It's freaking Nightcrawler.]

[Don will answer the door momentarily.]

I have to admit I'm jealous.

[He already turned off his imager. There's no point using it here.]

Of what? Oh! The teleporting? Not when your room smells like sulfur.

[In a strange reversal, Don is actually more comfortable with Kurt's real self than with his human guise.]

That's where having a lousy sense of smell becomes an advantage.

Sometimes, I wonder if I'll ever get tired of hearing those four words in that exact order.

You know, I'm not going to give you shuriken lessons if you aren't going to take them seriously.

[...suddenly, a wild Derek appears.

Well, all right, there's not much 'wild' about him at the moment, unless you count the five-o-clock shadow and slightly messy hair. This is probably the most he's been seen since he came home with Raph and was fed by April. He'll stop and look at Donatello and the books and nod silently before making his way to the fridge.

...A helpless milk carton may be in danger of being drunk from...]

[Drink away, housemate. Don is engrossed in a set of math problems and doesn't really mind if you get your germs on the milk carton. He's just glad to absently note that you've finally come out of your room.]

[And with no one to stop him, he does indeed take a good swig from the milk carton...and then goes to forage in the cabinets for a glass to pur the rest into.

Eventually, he'll make his way over to the table, looking at the math problems while Don works on them.]

[Multi-variable algebra. Easy stuff. Don can certainly carry on a conversation while solving for x and y.]
