past couples weeks ive been addicted to making felt plushy dolls.
its such a refreshingly fun little hobby!
first few were fairly simple, but decided to take it up a notch by oil painting the face and hands on canvas,
and then sew them together with felt.

these were made as gifts for Kevin. :)

those are really lovely. :)

i've been wanting to start making felt dolls, since Japan is like... land of little dolls. I want to find a good (Japanese) book with some cute basic patterns. do you have any suggestions? or do you just do everything from scratch?

the book that got me started on felt doll making is this:
http://shop.aranziaronzo.com/shopping.en/91062
found it at a japanese book store, Kinokuniya.
there must be plenty of other books tho.
this one is fairly simple. and had to improvise a lot on my own.
