we had to read a lot of peter singer stuff in my philosophy class. it's actually pretty good, a lot of it

I'm glad to hear that. I took a philosophy class last semester and I've always wanted to read more on the subject (anything really), but I don't know where to begin. Hopefully I'll be assigned more things like this for class. Know of any that were really outstanding?

not really, haha. all we got was one book by james rachels, interpreting all the moral theories, and another with just a couple of works from different authors. nothing really outstanding, but what do you expect for philosophy in kentucky

haha that's probably a good point. The class I took was at a community college and the teacher had this horribly thick polish accent that was hard to understand and even harder to pay attention too, so I can't say I got much out of it. That's why I'm still trying to find other things to read on the subject. theres just too much to choose from!

haha when i got the letter i got so excited. i'm such a nerd. i'm also scared i'm not going to be smart enough.

haha yeah- is it weird that I can't wait to read this book? I ordered it right away. Hopefully everyone else is in the same position we are- who knows, maybe we'll be the smartest ones haha
