i tried to come up with a serious response

this is about as far as i got:
i may have left a couple of months ago, but i never stopped loving you all. no amount of hearts can truly express how much i love you, so i'm not going to bother with those.

Island was the first game I ever played at, and I can say with certainty that I will never, EVER find a game as fun and full of possibilities as this one was for me. I've never laughed so hard at a computer screen before I joined this game, never stayed up until ungodly-o-clock threading out crack and adventures, and never cried so hard thanks to horrifying shoops. I haven't been a part of Island as long as the rest of you, but in that two and a half year span I have been here, I have come to love this game with a passion ( ... )

Oh, Island. You were indeed the very first RP I laid my eyes upon three years ago. And I really must say, as much as I wished the fun times would never end, all my precious memories of this place will remain alive in my heart.

That is to say, I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH. You guys made my years on Island truly special and I had a blast with your characters. It's been such a huge blast getting to know you all and I hope to see you in other places!

Thank you for the CR, the fun events, the crack, everything. Most of all, thank you for taking great care of this RP, mods.

So sad to see my very first RP ever to play at go ;_; But at least it was a happy ending for the Island, and that story put a weird smile on my face, so yeah. All the great times here will be remembered for as long as they can be.

Goodbye (but not permanently) Island, and thanks for all the fish, or in this frog's case, curry.
