Isn't it something how the different parts of our bodies can go out of wack?? My step-sis has taken thyroid meds for years and years. It is a blessing that the parts that work right...work right for so long. We are so intricate and amazing! Love the calming poem...hugs to you, sweet niece!! =)

Well, dear cousin...this proves we are indeed from the same bloodline. I've had problems with glands and lumpy things in my neck for several years now. Funny, my docs have never suspected thyroid issues. I have yet to track down "the perfect doctor for me" here in the Carolinas, but hopefully they'll shed some light on the subject when that day comes. Maybe I have a goiter, too and we can compare at Christmas?

M'kay, it's a date then! ;)

Hypothyriodism runs in my family too. Most, if not all, of my aunts have it to some degreee or another. It's not fun dealing with it, even in that indirect manner. I don't even want to think about what it would be like if I had it.
