...How do you measure the ability of a mage? I can't picture you all casting at a target.

Well... we didn't have any real idea. I thought me and Genis would just cast spells one after the other to see who can make the biggest one.

Man, everyone was pretty impressive near the end when we all started casting Indignation but things went kinda haywire and some beefy guy in a tight orange shirt came in before we could even try to decide who made the biggest lightning.

And yeah, I know him. He's a friend of mine. He's the town sherrif, actually... we're in his basement.

Well... I think he was mostly in shock ( and maybe awe ) of what we did to the field... I don't think I ever saw someone's eyes bug out that much over the destruction of a field.

... I do hope I don't get kept in here longer for being caught by the sheriff.

Yeah yeah... I thought it was gonna be just me and Genis and be a small contest but then Meredy, Jade, and Shirley showed up. I guess mages are attracted to other mages whenever they start shooting off spells.

Next time we'll find out who can take down the most monsters!
