*sits at a table in the corner of the Inn's common room, a deck of cards spread out in front of him. Any observer who lingered for a few minutes would recognize the game of solitaire. He doesn't at all mind playing alone. It gives him time with just his thoughts, and without any...street noise, so to speak.*

Alright, this game's pretty simple to start off with. But we can make it as complicated as we want but... since you're new at this, we'll keep things easy.
*makes the flapping bridge thing with the stack of cards with her hands. Arche is a real pro. She probably plays cards with salty sailors for gald.*
First of all, we split up the whole deck between all the players. It's just the two of us so we'll both have a bunch of cards. But we can have like I dunno, six people playing at once and we can use two decks at once.

Okay so after the both of us get our set of cards, we don't look at them. Just keep them in a stack face down. We'll take turns drawing cards and place them all in a pile on top of each other. We keep taking turns putting cards down until we get a face card.
If it's a jack, the next person has to try to get a card higher than that. If it's lower, the person who put down the jack takes the pile. Put down a queen, the other person has to put down at least two cards trying to beat it. King means three cards and a big ol' Ace is four!
The goal is to get all the cards!

Alright! I'll start out slow. *places down a card face up. It's a normal number card*
Now, there's special situations in this game where you can slap the pile of cards to claim it instead of waiting for face cards. The most common one is Lucky Sevens. If someone puts down a Seven, any Seven, the first person to slap their hand on the pile takes the cards. Another easy one to remember are Sandwiches. Lets say I put down a Two. Then you have a oh... Eight. Then I have another Two again. Because there's an Eight inbetween a pair of of Twos, it's called a Sandwich. You can slap that too.
