Totoo bang di gagamitin yung revolutionrevelation chorva na ambigram sa fa fest? Teka, para naman sa Fine Arts Festival ito 'di ba? Kung tungkol ito sa "representation" at "identity" ng batch natin, hindi ba paulit ulit namang ipinaliliwanag natin kung bakit revolutionrevelation yung tema ng fine arts festival? Please correct me if i'm wrong.

Ada, ganito 'yung pagkakaintindi ko nung nag-meeting with the ID people, kasi diba yung Fine Arts Festival under Arete, so kapag gumawa tayo ng logo, it would be confusing. kasi nga naman if you have a logo you are independent, and we're not suppossed to be "independent" we're suppossed to be under Arete, what they were suggesting was instead of a logo let's make a certain "look and feel" that would serve the same purpose of identity and representation.

it's not so much a logo as it is something to use as a letterhead, o para uniform sa doc and pub... we're not a "brand." we're putting up an event, and it just happens that this event is what culminates the growth of our artistic identities, etc. pero syempre, duh, oo nga pala kailangan in line with arete.. pero bakit di nila sinabi sa 'tin ng mas maaga, like the beginning of first sem? oh well, it's too garish to integrate into things anyway.. i just thought it was cool because there are only 2 vowels that distinguish these two ideas from each other, mayaman 'yung paring na 'yun, pero baka para sa 'kin lang, sayang lang yung effort, siguro dun ako naghihinayang, tsaka may ego pala ako at nasaktan ata sya, nasusuka ako actually, pero syempre for the good of all dapat.

actually sinabi pa nung first sem na dapat kasama yung fine arts sa humanities week dapat. ang hindi ko lang alam ay kung pumayag kayo na isama yun or what.

i really like the logo rin naman. and i know pinaghirapan mo yun. hm, i hope we can find some way to compromise, as ina suggested.

but the problem found was not on the theme itself.
it was for practical marketing reasons.
hindi maintindihan yung ambigram.
yun lang. plain and simple.
we can always use it for other stuff but hindi siya ideally effective for promotions.
bring this up during class if you still feel bad about it.
maybe we can work around it and compromise.

yeah, i agree that it's hard to understand if it were to be used for promo, that was my only problem with it before. that's why i was for keeping the logo plain and simple, like the other one i made with Revolution and then Revelation as a shadow, but majority voted for the ambigram-incorporated logo. i'm not annoyed, pissed, or anything. 'tis just a logo, we have a whole festival to worry about ;)
