It's kind of a combination. Garrett gets bitten and then you stab him but are bitten in the process and then end up shooting yourself immediately.

Exactly. I wouldn't have let either of you be alone. Garrett had the idea to do a double suicide since you guys were running out of supplies, but you were kind of stubborn. But then he was an idiot and was bitten.
