There's so much BS surrounding body-image in the media and in general, it's awful. I'd rather campaigns promote being a weight/size that you're happy with yourself rather than trying to enforce the idea of the right body type(since there is no right weight to be, it's different for each person).

I definitely agree with you here.

Yeah, the whole "it's different for each person" thing needs to be hammered in a bit more I think because seriously sometimes the inches on your hips and waist are never going add up to whatever arbitrary number you have decided they should.

To be fair, when I was in high school and on the smaller side I had a 23 inch waist and 38 inch hips! I still have the proportions but...I am a lot fatter now, haha. I don't really have tits though, so I don't fit the hourglass figure but I just wanted to say you can definitely end up with a small waist and big hips without really doing anything. I'm just pear shaped!

Fair enough. I suppose such pinches can happen, but I guess aiming for such a low number seems highly unlikely for most people to ever achieve.

I blame the media. If people of all shapes and sizes were represented, not just the skinny, pretty people, I think a lot of people IRL would be much happier with themselves.

The important thing is to be HEALTHY. That's it.

That's exactly it. As long as you are healthy, you are good. All you need is some confidence and you can own any body type.
