I went on a war kick a while back, but couldn't find much. If I did, it was briefly mentioned as "oh, then Arthur and Merlin met again during the war and it was in the medical tent before Arthur died again. The end."

THAT IS OK, I WILL SETTLE FOR YOU MAYBE EVENTUALLY WRITING SOMETHING INSTEAD. that is even better, actually!

(Merlin is particularly well suited for war fic, canon or AU. knights, soldiers, they're both delicious.)

I have to finish your first time prompt first, though. IT'S COMING MORE SLOWLY THAN A LEGLESS TURTLE, BUT IT IS COMING. All 6K+ of it. *facepalm*

Oh, and Four Time Merlin and Arthur Made it Work (and the one time they didn't) by flash_indie also has a brief wwII scene. Majorly heartbreaking fic though, be warned!
