"Lucas killed Indy 4"

Nov 08, 2006 12:06

This isn't good news:"According to Screenwriter Frank Darabont (“The Green Mile”), the fourth film was ready to go two years ago - until Lucas decided he didn’t like his script. Considering Steven Spielberg thought the script was the best Jaunt Indy had had since ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’, it sounds like Uncle George needs his head read."

I don't know, that seems like older news than some of the stuff we've read recently about the script... I heard it was almost ready at the end of this year and they might even start filming next year.

That article just seems like the wanted to stir up some old drama because they had nothing to talk about...

anyway, I think it might be awhile, but we'll still get it.

i heard that as well. i really hope it's all just old information, but the article is dated yesterday. *crosses fingers* they really NEED to make this movie.

Yeah, but it seems like all they said was about "two years ago," nothing particularly recent-- and I know at the end of the summer they were saying they had a pretty acceptable script almost completed, or something like that.

I think it's just a drama-llama distraction. =^n.n^=

that would be good. i mean, seriously. i dont understand why, at least at this point, they wouldn't do it. especially with all the rumours/articles/interviews of them saying they are getting ready to work on it. and last month when Harrison was in France was it? Whatever the film festival was, and he said he was pretty much dying to play the role again. it would be a shame if they didn't do it seeing as though not only do the fans really want it, but so does he.

Bastard! The more Harrison gets older the more unsuitable he is for hunky action sessions - his face is already dropping from his skull.

Honestly, I'm not really that eager for Indy 4. Harrison Ford was too old for another Indy movie since the first time there was an announcement about a fourth movie, as far as I'm concerned. Of course, they can always get Sean Patrick Flannery, who is 41 years old, right now.
