If you talk to someone about Proposition 8 make sure that they understand that a "No" vote does not mean "No to gay marriage". The language is a bit misleading, and someone who doesn't read the proposition may vote incorrectly. Encourage people to take a moment to read the summaries of the propositions and be certain that they are voting in line ( Read more... )

It's not just honest confusion, either. The Yes on 8 campaign actually called people and told them to vote "yes" if they supported same-sex marriage.

They need to go down, and they need to go down *hard*. I'm planning on dropping by the local No on 8 office after work to see what I can do.

I think there is at least some legal reason for this in that if they want to make a change "yes" has to be the vote for the change, and in this case, the change is elimiating rights. I could be wrong though.
