lsjdh;f Toasty's the best thing to happen to Fitz in a long, long time. He hasn't really felt wanted anywhere since his parents threw him out, and Cohen is a hard guy to feel appreciated by, so it's just really nice, probably more than he can say, to have someone who always likes having him around.
Fitz really didn't expect to end up with anyone, so, after facing the very likely prospect of dying alone, he's totally ecstatic about tying the knot, and looks forward to spending his life however short it may be dohoho eue with Toasty. (But he still feels pretty guilty sometimes about not being the hot woman he's sure Toast would prefer.)
He really disliked Toasty at first, like any splicer, but it's not easy to be hard on someone who's already so hard on themselves. What *is* easy is growing to like someone you're always trying to comfort, and that's where Fitz really got lucky~
Fitz has the same sort of semi-step-something-relationship problem with Naggy that she has with him. She's barely even close to Toasty, and he's the one who wanted her so much and went through all hell to get a kid. Fitz doesn't want to step over any toes; he thinks of Naggy much more as Toasty's daughter than any close family of his.
That said, he likes Naggy well enough, and anyone Toasty loves so much is of course fine by Fitz. It's never dull with her in the house, whenever she's not off sleeping dumpsters, and if anything ever happened to Toasty, he'd still try to make sure she what she needed and wouldn't be too stubborn to accept.
Also he really wishes she wasn't so angry and violent, but who doesn't? ene

Fitz really appreciates everything their good daddy does for him. It's hard for him to imagine kind people really existing in Rapture, but Delta makes that all the easier. Fitz doesn't know what he'd do without a someone... actually capable of protecting them.
