Isn't it amazing how the older we get, the more stuff we seem to do? I do know, however, that I had skads more energy when I was a teen, but looking back on it, I really didn't do anything. *sigh* The time is now, I suppose.
Oh, and that whole second last paragraph of your post... Suffice to say, if there was ever any doubt, I now know I'm not a programmer :D
